This single Aranmula-shaped frame carries that same painted face — wide, expressive eyes, a third eye at the centre of the forehead, and an elaborate crown in red, orange, and white — set against a warm maroon-brown ground.
Cast in an antique-gold finish, the frame borrows its distinctive silhouette from the Aranmula Kannadi, Kerala's celebrated metal mirror, giving a Bengal devotional face a Kerala-inspired form. Every line is hand-painted rather than printed, adding texture and depth to the medallion.
