Hand-Painted Jharoka Wall Frame – Ganesha on Lotus

Ganesha is shown here seated on a fully bloomed pink lotus, a small book resting beneath him — a nod to his role as patron of learning and the deity traditionally invoked before any new undertaking. The piece is set within a jharoka, the ornate overhanging window balcony traditionally found on Rajasthani havelis, recreated here in miniature with a projecting canopy roof and carved pillars.

Hand-painted in warm oranges and greens against a rich brown interior, Ganesha's figure is a raised cut-out rather than a flat print, holding his traditional attributes with a small bowl of sweets placed at his feet.
