Hand-Painted Wall Frame – Ganesha on Lotus

Here, Ganesha is seated on an open lotus, a book resting beside him and a bowl of modaks at his feet — the scholar's Ganesha, patron of learning as much as of good beginnings. It's specifically the iconography invoked before starting school, a new job, or writing anything that matters.
