Two very different faces sit side by side in this set — one marked with a soft scatter of sunburst medallions and a delicate gold beaded arc across the lip, the other little fiercer, its mouth portion has a silver ekir, the long curved ornament worn in Theyyam to suggest bared, predatory teeth.
