Horse – Hand-painted Wooden Sculpture Orange

This horse is caught mid-stride, one foreleg lifted, its whole body painted in a bold, saturated orange with teal vines and leaves winding across its flank and legs like a piece of painted textile brought to three dimensions. Mounted on a dark brown plinth, the contrast between the warm orange body and cool teal detailing gives this piece a liveliness that a single-tone sculpture wouldn't have.

In Indian culture, the horse is a long-standing symbol of loyalty, respect, and power, and this fusion of a traditional form with a bold contemporary palette makes it feel current rather than purely decorative. Our artisans hand-carve the piece from solid wood and then hand-paint the teal vine-and-leaf motifs entirely freehand, building the pattern across the horse's body, legs, and neck in a continuous, flowing line rather than repeating a fixed template.
