Pattachitra Swan Serving Tray – Hand-painted Mango Wood
Description
Pattachitra painting grew up alongside the Jagannath temple of Puri, Odisha, where artists once prepared scrolls and cloth panels for temple ritual and festival. The swan, or hansa, appears often in this tradition as the vehicle of Goddess Saraswati, a symbol of discernment and grace rendered here in Pattachitra's characteristic fine linework and flat, jewel-bright colour.
Our artists hand-paint this swan onto solid mango wood, building up the layered detailing and confident outlines that define the style, then seal the surface for regular use. It works as easily as a serving tray for guests as it does propped up as a small piece of temple-inspired art.
Its calm, elegant motif makes it a fitting gift for a housewarming, an anniversary, or simply for someone who appreciates Odisha's classical art heritage.
Material: Solid Mango Wood, hand-painted and sealed
Dimensions: 35 cm x 23 cm x 6 cm
