Description

There's a particular kind of anticipation in a mehndi night — the cone moving slowly across a palm, a paisley unfurling one careful curl at a time. This clock captures that same unhurried, cascading quality.

A single large paisley motif rises diagonally from the lower corner of the brass sheet, its curls and petals dotted with fine white detailing, while a smaller matching bloom sits in the opposite corner to balance the composition. The rest of the brass is left bare and burnished, letting the henna work stand out the way it would on bare skin rather than being boxed in by a border.

Hand-painted on brass and backed with solid wood, fitted with a working clock movement, this piece leans into negative space as much as it does into detail — a quieter, more graphic take on henna art for a desk, console, or gifting table.
