Tree of Life Sanjhi Art Serving Tray – Hand-painted Wooden
Description
Sanjhi is one of Mathura and Vrindavan's most delicate art forms, traditionally hand-cut from paper into intricate stencils used to decorate temple floors and courtyards in honour of Radha and Krishna, especially around Sharad Purnima. The Tree of Life, or Kalpavriksha, a symbol of abundance and continuity found across Indian art, is reimagined here in that same fine, lace-like detailing.
Our artists hand-paint this intricate pattern onto solid mango wood, translating Sanjhi's paper-cut precision into brushwork, then seal the tray for regular use. It serves guests as comfortably as it holds its own as a standalone art piece on a shelf or console.
Its universal motif and delicate detailing make it a graceful gift for a housewarming, a wedding, or anyone drawn to the quieter, more intricate side of Indian temple art.
Material: Solid Mango Wood, hand-painted and sealed
Dimensions: 35 cm x 23 cm x 6 cm
