A complete  set of Hand painted  Dashavatharam .. 10 incarnations of Lord Vishnu in wooden frames.

The following incarnations of Lord Vishnu are mentioned while describing the iconography of Dashavatharam.

  1. Matsya: The first avatar, depicted as a fish with the upper body of a human
  2. Kurma: The second avatar, depicted as a tortoise to protect the devas and asuras
  3. Varaha: The third avatar, depicted as a boar or giant pig to protect Earth from the demon Hiranyaksha
  4. Narasimha: The fourth avatar, depicted with the upper body of a human and the lower body, head, and claws of a lion
  5. Vamana: The dwarf avatar
  6. Parashurama: The angry man avatar.
  7. Rama: The ideal king avatar, who defeated the demon king Ravana and established a golden age of peace and prosperity 
  8. Balarama: The elder brother of Krishna
  9. Krishna: The divine statesman avatar, who guided humanity and defeated evil
  10. Kalki: The final avatar, who will ride in on a white horse to destroy evil and usher in a new era of truth and virtue.
